Hamilton Students

Kia Ora! Student Health Service is moving to more telehealth appointments.  This saves you a visit to the clinic and at this time it also helps ensure we are all kept safe. Phone consultations will be offered for students wherever possible. Please be aware that  the health service is very busy at the moment and there may be delays for some appointments. We thank you for your understanding.

International student fees are $45 per consultation and are covered by their compulsory health insurance, subject to the conditions of that policy (see the International Students page).

Extra charges apply to all students for specific medical examinations (insurance, pre-employment, driving etc), travel vaccines, minor surgery, IUD and Jadelle fittings.

Manage My Health

If you are enrolled with Student Health Clinic, please consider registering with the online patient portal, Manage My Health.

This enables you to make appointments, request repeat prescriptions and seek health advice by email from our doctors and nurses.

Appointments

If you are unwell and would like to see any of our health professionals, you can make an appointment:

  • Phone 07-838-4037
  • Online via Manage My Health patient portal if you have signed up and are an enrolled patient
  • At the reception desk, if you are unable to call first

Our doctors and nurses do have some same-day appointments. Depending on your health issues you may be offered an appointment on another day or advised to drop into the Health Centre.

Our nurses are able to manage many everyday health concerns like sore throats, urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted infections. You can call us and talk to one of our team of friendly and very experienced nurses.

Our mental health nurses also run a drop-in clinic between 1-3pm every day.

You are welcome to bring a support person to any of your appointments.
