University Of Canterbury Centennial Hall

Centennial was opened in 1978, the year of Lincoln University’s centenary – hence the name. What students say: “The best year of my life, I met the most amazing people and definitely made friends for life.”

About Centennial

Central to all of the halls on campus, Centennial is spread across 5 buildings and has the largest common room of all the halls (with the biggest TV too). Centennial is fully-catered and, like all our Halls, is just a two-minute stroll from the dining hall and the heart of Lincoln campus.

Rooms are spread over two floors and laid out in pods, six rooms per pod. Beds are king singles. Each pod includes a kitchenette, one unisex toilet and two showers.

Enjoy buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Dining Hall (Te Kete Ika).

A ground floor pod offers disability access and bathroom facilities

There is also a separate communal lounge and laundry for all Centennial residents. Students use this space to watch movies, study or play pool.

Free unlimited WiFi, Sky TV and a pool table.
