Depending on your career aspirations, you can choose to complete a recognised professional masters programme, or undertake a more research-oriented degree.
To become a practising architect, you must complete the Master of Architecture (Professional) or one of the three combined masters programmes that build on it, followed by further registration requirements, as set by the New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NZRAB).
Because the built environment fields operate collaboratively, we offer combined masters qualifications that help you prepare for the multidisciplinary nature of modern practice.
This gives you the skills and knowledge of two masters qualifications in less time than it would take you to complete them separately.
Postgraduate study in Architecture gives you the opportunity to explore your personal research and design interests.
We encourage you to use these to develop critical thinking and technical expertise in order to thrive in the built environment disciplines.
