Mrs O Lincoln University

Lincoln, in the Selwyn District of Canterbury, has a permanent population of approximately 2,700. It’s a social, predominantly student town which grows to more than 7,000 during university term-time. 



On-campus food options

The main location for food on our Te Waihora campus is Mrs O’s Café and Bar in Te Kete Ika – Food and Function Centre. As well as a café, there are bar facilities and a dining hall for Halls of Residence students.

Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 9.30am

Brunch:

Saturday, 8.00am to 11.00am
Sunday, 9.00am to 12.00pm

Dinner:

Monday to Sunday, 5.30pm to 7.00pm

Sandwiches at Mrs O’s in Forbes is a term-time sandwich bar on the ground floor of the George Forbes Memorial Building. Its hours of operation are 9.30am to 2.00pm during term time.



The Food Trailer, located behind the Library, is open from 7.30am for coffee, and various hot food options available from 8.30am to 1.30pm, during term-time.

Off-campus food options

There is a range of food outlets in the Lincoln township, as well as a large supermarket, video store, boutique shops and facilities.

Cafes in the town include Hillyers, Coffee Culture, Black Door Bar and Eatery, and the Rustic Bakery Café.

If it’s a drink or a meal you’re after, try The Famous Grouse or the Curry Pot. There’s also iSushi, Subway, and a number of traditional New Zealand fish and chip takeaways.
