Where you live is an important decision to make when you’re a student. We make sure your accommodation is complementary to your studies and university experience.
Our campuses in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington have great accommodation options. You can live in a hall of residence, an apartment or a studio unit. We also provide homestay accommodation for international students.
Halls of residence and apartments
Living in a Massey hall of residence or apartment will give you a sense of belonging to your student community. It’s a great way to establish your life at uni and meet new people from all over the world.
Homestay
Homestay accommodation is when you live with a local family in the family’s home. You become a member of the family and your new family support you as you start your university journey.
Private accommodation
Private accommodation can include renting an apartment, house or unit, or renting a room in a hostel or flat, with or without flatmates. It’s important you understand your rights as a tenant when choosing this type of accommodation.

Computer laboratories
Undergraduate and graduate computer labs are provided to help students complete their course work. The labs are administered by Information Technology Services (ITS).

An information booklet, Student Guide to the Computer Laboratories, is also available from the Copy Centre or the ITS website.
Centre for Teaching and Learning
The Centre for Teaching and Learning offers students general and specialist help to develop their academic skills.
This includes workshops on: time management, effective reading and writing, note taking and exams preparation.
Both individual personal consultations and support classes are available. The centre also has academic mentors to help and advise. These mentors are current senior students from a wide range of disciplines on campus.

Tussock Café
Is located at the heart of the campus on the ground floor of the Student Services Building, and is open from 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Tussock offers fresh barista coffee, cold beverages, a great range of cabinet food, homemade cakes, gourmet rolls, salads and sandwiches and deli baked items. A breakfast and café menu are available from 8am including burgers, fries, salads, curries, soups etc
Tussock is fully licensed. We have a variety of New Zealand beers and a great value wine list
Catering
Tussock provides in-house catering for Massey events as well as private functions.
Tussock’s in house catering provides a menu selection that is hearty, seasonal, and competitively priced. Options are available to suit all dietary requirements including gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan, paleo and more.
