Massey’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility offering New Zealand’s most comprehensive veterinary expertise. We are open to the public offering routine animal health checks, specialist diagnostic procedures and treatments and a 24/7 Pet Emergency Centre. Specialists cater to many different types of animals including pets, farm animals, horses and native wildlife.
As a teaching hospital, final-year veterinary undergraduate students work alongside senior clinical staff with extensive experience to provide the best possible animal care to our patients.

Massey Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s referral service gives veterinarians access to specialist diagnostic procedures, medical treatments and second opinions. We have state-of-the-art equipment and the greatest number of specialists of any vet practice in New Zealand.
OUR CLINICS
Companion animal
Top-quality veterinary care for all types of small pets. We are open to the public, and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are the first choice veterinary clinic for local pets as well s a referral hospital for difficult cases.
Equine
Our highly skilled equine team offers a broad range of medical and surgical expertise. You can bring your horse in by appointment or ask your vet to refer your horse to us in difficult cases.
Farm Services
We provide on-farm treatment for all farm animals, while our large animal hospital offers radiographs, surgery and ongoing care. Contact us for advice, appointments and referrals.
Wildbase Hospital
New Zealand’s only dedicated wildlife hospital. We provide medical and surgical care and rehabilitation to sick and injured native animals so they can be returned to the wild.

All clinics are open 8:00 am–5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Our 24-hour Pet Emergency Centre is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The Equine Clinic and Farm Services Clinic are also open by appointment for emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
