Massey University Office 365 For Students

A staff member will gain access to Office 365 for Education after their mailbox has been moved to Office 365 by Information Technology Services (ITS).



With Office 365 for Education, staff can:

  • store files in OneDrive and access them online at anytime from anywhere
  • share documents with others to edit and collaborate
  • use Office online apps through a web browser on devices without the Office suite.

Staff who are not on the Massey network will need to sign in manually.

If you land on the Massey sign in page, simply enter your staff usercode and password.

Free Microsoft Office 2016 for work and home computers

Staff can install Office 2016 on up to five personally-owned devices for free.

Installing Office 2016 will automatically replace previous versions of Office products. Please be aware that if you have the Lync client, it will be replaced by Skype for Business when you install Office 2016.

Microsoft Office 2016 includes Skype for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher and Access. Staff can request Visio and Project licenses through AskUs.

Office online apps



Office online apps are online versions of desktop applications. They have limited functionality compared to the desktop applications and can be used for basic tasks such as creating and editing documents. The online apps are useful when you’re on a device that does not have the Office suite installed.
