How to become a teacher

If you want to be a teacher, our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programmes in primary or secondary will equip you to apply to the Education Council for provisional teacher certification.

EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPY

With speech and language therapy you can help people of all ages with speech, language and swallowing difficulties to achieve independence. Massey runs a Speech Language Therapy Clinic in Albany, Auckland. This is a teaching clinic that serves the community. Student clinicians assess and treat clients under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced clinical staff. You’ll get practical, hands-on experience of working with clients with a range of speech, language and swallowing difficulties.
