We are operating and available to support our students with medical care and counselling no matter where you are. Please phone 325 3835 – a nurse will return your call to discuss your needs.



Student Health and Support is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am– 4.30pm, during term time. Phone 325 3835 for an appointment or to make an enquiry.

After Hours Care

In an emergency, dial 111 for an ambulance.

For after-hours medical care, phone 325 3835. Your call will be diverted to a health professional at an after hours service (there may be a delay).

We are now accepting registrations for new patients. Register here.

Hours

During term time, we are open from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Monday to Friday.

During Summer School and Semester Breaks, our appointment hours may vary according to demand.

Meningitis vaccines

The NZ Ministry of Health are now funding one FREE meningitis vaccine for NZ Students under the age of 25 years who are living in the Halls of Residence. Both Student Health and Lincoln University support this and encourage students to get their vaccine before moving into their accommodation. Find out more.

Even if you’re not sure whether they are the right people to talk to, get in touch. They work collaboratively with all of the University’s support services, so they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

How to Register at Student Health

Students are not automatically enrolled in the Health Centre, even if you have paid your Student Services Levy.

Domestic students

Registration reassigns your government health funding to us from your previous GP and is essential to receive heavily subsidised student healthcare at Lincoln University. We strongly suggest you apply for a Community Services Card to enable you to take advantage of the subsidies it allows.

To enrol:

  1. Please download an Enrolment Form
  2. Complete the form in black pen, and post it to Student Health and Support, Lincoln University, PO Box 85084, Lincoln,7647, fax to 03 3253881, or email to [email protected].

Casual patients  

To register as a casual patient:



  1. Please download the Casual Patient Registration Form.
  2. Complete the form in black pen and post it to Student Health and Support, Lincoln University, PO Box 85084, Lincoln, 7647, fax it to 03 325 3881, or email to [email protected].
  3. We will contact you if your form is not legible once printed to meet enrolment criteria.

International students

To register:

  1. Please download the International Registration form and the Studentsafe Direct Billing Check List.
  2. Complete the forms in black pen and post them to Student Health and Support, Lincoln University, PO Box 85084, Lincoln, 7647, fax it to 03 3253881, or email to [email protected].

When you visit the Health Centre, the cost of your appointment can be billed directly to your insurance company (if covered) if you have used Allianz (studentsafe). Without this approved insurance provider, you will be required to pay up front at the Health Centre and claim the costs back through your insurance company.

Pricing

For domestic students, if you enrol with Student Health and Support you save money on your consultations. Complete an enrolment form, and read about enrolling with a general practice.

For international students, if you choose to register with Student Health and Support and have student safe insurance, most visits can be direct billed to the insurance (Please see your insurance policy).

  • We reserve the right to charge for any missed appointments (not covered by insurance).
  • We reserve the right to charge for any non-attended appointments $10 Doctor/nurse, $20 Clinical Psychologist/Counseling 48 hours’ notice required.
  • Studentsafe accounts are able to be direct billed if applicable.
  • A billing fee of $10 will be added to all accounts if account is not paid within 7 days.
