Investec came to Ireland in 2000 when the Group acquired Gandon Capital Markets, a highly-respected treasury and corporate banking specialist, and the first institution to have been granted a license to operate in the IFSC.



In 2012, Investec acquired NCB, one of Ireland’s leading financial services groups, whose main activities include stockbroking (private client and institutional), bonds, corporate finance and venture capital investment. 





Investec Ireland now employs a team of over 240 specialists focusing on private banking, capital markets and investment banking for a domestic and international client base.

In 2015 we were very proud to be awarded Ireland’s third best medium sized workplace in the Great Places to Work Awards. We are proud to have been ranked 9th place in the 20 best SME Workplaces in Ireland – 2011 and voted one of Ireland’s top 50 places to work in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
