Fees for accommodation (2020)
We’ll issue our first round of accommodation offers around mid to late October 2019.
The fees listed are for self-catered rooms, per week.
City Campus accommodation (Wellesley Student Apartments)
- Small room: NZ$ 275 per week
- Standard room: NZ$ 299 per week
- Large room: NZ$ 317 per week
Summer fees (November to January): standard room, NZ$ 215 (AUT student) / NZ$ 252 (other tertiary students)

- Standard room: NZ$ 282 per week

Payment options

Instalment payments
When you pay by instalment there is an extra fee of $250 each semester.
You must set up automatic instalments via your bank. These payments must be made every 2 weeks, starting 2 weeks after you move into your accommodation. You also need to pay a deposit:
- 4 weeks’ deposit if you’re staying for a semester
- 6 weeks’ deposit if you’re staying for a year
You must pay your total accommodation fees by the end of your payment date.
Contract periods
- Semester 1: 8 February 2020 to 20 June 2020 (19 weeks)
- Semester 2: 4 July 2020 to 14 November 2020 (19 weeks)
- Full year: 8 February 2020 to 14 November 2020 (40 weeks)
Other fees
These other fees may apply and are non-refundable:
- Application fee: NZ$ 150
- Residential Life programme fee: NZ$ 120 (per semester)
- Instalment fee: NZ$ 250 (per semester)
- Linen and bedding: NZ$ 130 (buy to own)
- Car parking: NZ$ 340 (optional, per semester and only available at North Campus)
