Bond University Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) has been named as the second fastest growing career in Australia and the fourth in the United States. Occupational Therapists (OT’s) are dynamic and diverse professionals who enable people and communities to overcome barriers imposed by illness, injury, disability, psychological impairment, developmental delay or the aging and dying process.

With a focus on functional outcomes, OT’s are practical problem solvers and have a broad perspective of health and wellbeing, underpinned by a solid scientific base.

OT’s are in high demand in hospitals, mental health, aged care, paediatrics, disability and rehabilitation environments.  It is envisaged that the demand for OT’s will rise significantly with the introduction of the National Disability Scheme in Australia (NDIS).

You can become an Occupational Therapist in just 2 years via our graduate-entry Master of Occupational Therapy, or 4 years via our undergraduate pathway programs coupled with the Master of Occupational Therapy.

Bond’s Master of Occupational Therapy program has full accreditation with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia up until 31 August 2023. Our graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and will be graduating from a program that has been developed to be recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.

The program is delivered from the Bond Institute of Health and Sport, situated within the Robina Health Precinct and nearby Robina train station
