Sport and exercise science is a broad area covering two main elements: sports performance and health and wellbeing. While sport science is a well-established discipline that focuses on sport performance enhancement, there is a growing interest and industry tied to health and wellbeing. Exercise scientists have a role in providing specific exercise advice to the general public, seeking to improve their health.
