For those who wish to earn a doctorate degree, Abraham Lincoln University offers a Doctor of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor. Each offers the flexibility to learn online, a robust curriculum, and a support system of faculty and peers. 

The Doctor of Business Administration provides the knowledge today’s business leaders need. It’s designed for those individuals who wish to take their business or consulting careers to the next level through high-quality, practice-focused research. The DBA curriculum contains applied research modules to create independent thinkers and problem solvers. The program features a combination of both theoretical and applied research methodology courses that emphasize assessment of the problems most relevant to today’s business leaders. Graduates of the DBA program learn to use evidence-based decision-making models to lead their organizations into the future. 

Our Juris Doctor degree program is designed to be one of the best JD programs for working professionals. The educational objective of the School of Law is to educate qualified individuals through advanced educational technology to gain a comprehensive command of the fundamental areas of law. ALU’s JD program is ideal for those who want to practice law or enter into one of the many legal fields that a Juris Doctor degree affords. Students will learn the advanced analytical skills necessary to write legal documents, conduct legal research, and evaluate legal issues. 



School of Law – Faculty Highlights

Professor Johnny Griggs, Esq.

Johnny Griggs earned his B.A. degree from Lewis and Clark College and his J.D. degree from Yale Law School. As a lawyer and partner at prominent firms, Johnny has been a trusted advisor to a variety of high-profile clients, successfully representing Fortune 500 companies, mid-size businesses, and entrepreneurial firms in high-stakes, employment-related, and complex business litigation matters. 

Johnny has published numerous articles on employment law and has lectured extensively on issues pertaining to employment law, including privacy, discrimination, diversity, and elimination of bias in the workplace. In addition, he has been a frequent speaker on diversity and elimination of bias in the legal profession as well as issues relating to ‘success skills’ for people of color and other diverse groups in the legal profession. 

He often lends his time and expertise to causes relating to public education and urban issues. His pro bono work and public service has won him numerous accolades. 

Currently, he is the Managing Shareholder of GriggsLittle APC, a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial law firm.
