Tips on Applying
There are a few simple steps you’ll need to take to become a Lincoln student.
Step 1 – Choose your qualification
Decide what you want to study by:
- Checking out the qualification pages on this website
- Contacting the Student Liaison team at the University
- Talking to your Careers Advisor (if you’re at high school)
- Attending an Open Day
- Contacting us by email or phone.
Step 2 – Apply
Apply to study with us at any time, even if you don’t yet have the final results your need to begin your chosen qualification.
To do this, you’ll need to create an account in our MyLinc system. Then you can return at any time to complete your study application, apply for accommodation and/or a scholarship, and to accept any offers that you receive from us.
Step 3 – Track your application
Once you have submitted your application, track its progress so that you can view and accept any offers.
Step 4 – Accept your offer
Check your email for an admission letter. After you have received a placement offer from us, you can accept it through your MyLinc account. Your acceptance will be recorded in the Lincoln University Campus Administration System, known as LUCAS.
You will then be sent instructions on how this information and a to-do list for you will appear.
Step 5 – Enrol
When you have accepted your offer, LUCAS will update your to-do list with a new item: enrol.
After 1 October each year, you can select your individual courses and enrol in them. Use the course planners to help select the best courses to suit your programme of study. You’ll do this each year until you have completed your studies. Some courses are compulsory and some can be chosen. The number of each depends on your qualification.
Step 6 – Clear your To Do List
Be sure to complete all the items on your to-do list on LUCAS.
Step 7 – Submit your Enrolment
Once your to-do list is clear, you can submit your enrolment. You’ll then receive information about your student ID card, student email address and access to the student network. Welcome to Lincoln!
