Auckland University Of Technology Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Property Conjoint

Study at New Zealand’s leading business and engineering faculties* with a five-year programme that provides you with the fundamentals needed to succeed in the property and engineering fields.

In the Property component of your degree, you will study a set of core courses in business, including marketing, management, valuation, finance and investment, development and building surveying. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a buddy programme through which you will receive mentoring from senior leaders in the property industry.

The BE(Hons) component provides you with the opportunity to pursue one of nine specialisations available at the country’s leading Engineering faculty. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the technical, practical, and theoretical knowledge it takes to become an innovator in this exciting industry.

Combine your studies in these two areas to succeed in a variety of forward-thinking industries, and develop the academic and professional skills to prepare you for work in either of these innovative sectors.

Programme structure

Undergraduate students completing a BE(Hons)/BProp generally take nine courses per year, one more course than a non-conjoint bachelors programme.

You will need to complete a total of 690 points with 255 points from Bachelor of Property courses and 420 points from Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) courses.

The programme structure differs depending on the Engineering specialisation you choose from Part II. Please see the specialisation tab for further information on specialisation-specific programme structure.

Because of the higher workload, all students completing a conjoint are encouraged to contact the designated course advisers in each faculty to discuss their study options.

You will need to maintain a B– average across your courses to continue with a conjoint programme. In order to complete your conjoint in five years, you will also need to complete a total of 135 points a year.
