The Midwifery department is part of health sciences at AUT. We offer midwifery programmes at the AUT South Campus, and at satellite centres in Northland and Taranaki.
We maintain close links with lead maternity carer midwives, hospital managers and midwifery clients who offer advice and feedback. Our programmes are accredited through the Midwifery Council of New Zealand. Expertise from our Centre for Midwifery and Women’s Health Research informs our teaching.
