Drop Ins
The Research Ethics Advisor in collaboration with the AUTEC Faculty Representatives is available at North, Millennium, and South campuses to:
- provide advice on research ethics issues
- provide feedback on draft ethics applications
- receive completed applications for either delegated review or placement on AUTEC’s agenda
No appointments are necessary. One thing to be aware of in relation to the drop ins is that someone may already be receiving advice when you arrive. Just let the Research Ethics Advisor know you have arrived and he will let you know how long he is likely to be.
A schedule with times and locations for the Drop Ins is here [PDF, 460.5 KB] but please check the weekly schedule above for what’s on in the current week as things don’t always go to plan.
Kanohi ki te kanohi

Workshops and Seminars
Seminars are also offered as part of the Postgraduate Seminar Series Programme run by the Graduate Research School.
Further assistance for student researchers needing help with research or language skills is offered by Learning Advisors.
Workshops are also provided throughout the year exploring and discussing particular issues and providing advice about completing ethics applications.
In addition, seminars or workshops are available on request for groups or classes. Please contact the Research Ethics Advisor to arrange this.
