Residence Life staff members partner with other student support services on campus to provide connections to academic support services. Additionally, ongoing programs offered in your hall help to make sure you have the resources and support you need in order to stay focused on your academic objectives. You will also find study rooms and a system of quiet and courtesy hours to help you organize your study time.

The residence halls are locked 24 hours a day and staffed with live-in professionals, student paraprofessionals and night security who are dedicated to supporting you. The Lincoln University Public Safety Department provides 24-hour accessibility.

Hoard & Yates (Honors)
halls are home to Lincoln University’s students who are crrently in their sophomore, junior and senior years who have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Each building houses 16 students. Males reside in Hoard Hall, while females live in Yates Hall.Located east of the Student Health Center, Hoard and Yates are close to the heart of the campus while still providing a guiet atmosphere for study. The double occupancy rooms feature private baths and are wired for cable and high-speed internet access.
Sherman D. Scruggs
Sherman D. Scruggs Hall opened on August 17, 2008 and is the most recent addition to Lincoln University’s residential campus. With input from University personnel and students, representatives of the architectural firm Moody Nolan, Inc. created a four story, 77,550 square foot building to accommodate 224 campus residents.
Sherman Hall’s design features 56, 4-person apartments that consist of a shared common/kitchenette area, two sink vanity, shower and toilet. Thirty four apartments have 4 bedrooms designed for single occupancy. Twenty two apartments have two bedrooms designed for double occupancy. The sizes of the bedrooms are:
Single: 11’ x 8’
Double: 11’ x 12’8”
ADA rooms: 11’ x 10’3”
Each floor includes the following amenities: laundry room, study room, and kitchen. In addition, the first floor has a recreation, community room and the hall’s administrative offices.
Tull
Tull Hall, recently remodeled represents the crème de la crème of campus housing. With a host of modern amenities, this co-ed facility accommodates eighty-eight upperclassmen. The suite-style bedrooms are designed with adjoining bathrooms. All rooms are equipped with beds, dressers, desks and closets for each student. Each room is cable ready and includes features such as high speed internet and adjusting climate controls.
The lobby provides a tranquil environment that is perfect for studying. Tull Hall offers a fully equipped game room with table tennis, air hockey, pool tables and card tables. In addition, residents have access to a 24-hour laundry room and an entertainment center outfitted with comfortable furniture, a big screen television and a VCR/DVD player with a host of movie titles. Safety features include a state-of-the-art security system. The staff includes a resident hall director and resident staff advisors located on each floor.
Perry
Perry Hall is home to Blue Tiger first year students. The residence hall, which is located near the baseball field and football stadium, accommodates 130 students. All rooms are double-occupancy and contain a desks, dressers and closets. The rooms are also wired for internet and cable access.
The hall is staffed with a Resident Director, four Resident Assistants and work study students. A top notch security system helps to ensure the safety of the residents
Anthony
Anthony Hall is our desginated Honors College residence hall for incoming freshmen, conveniently located next to Scruggs University Center and within walking distance of the main campus. Renovations to the historical facility were completed in December, 2007 and it can now be home to 75 young men and women attending Lincoln University.
Anthony Hall offers single rooms, double rooms and four person apartments. Each room is equipped with movable furniture including a desk, chair, bunkable beds and wardrobe for each resident. Amenities include a cable-ready connection, high speed internet, smoke alarm and sprinklers. The four person apartments are equipped with a full kitchen and a washer/dryer setup.
The hall has a game room, multi-purpose room and beauty salon on the lowest level. A visitor’s lounge, computer/study room and student lounge on the first level, and kitchen and conference room on the fourth level. Amenities standard to the first, second and third levels are washer and dryers, study rooms, and kitchenettes.
Bennett
Bennett Hall is located just south of Page Library and gives residents a magnificent view of the campus. The recently renovated hall houses 44 male and female students. Bennett Hall is the new phase of living and learning for students with a concentration in Agriculture and Natural Sciences. The first floor consists of classrooms and a computer assisted distance learning center which enables students to participate in classes worldwide. The building is also home to the offices of the Dean of Agriculture and the Associate Director.
The second and third floors consist of suite-style rooms with single-beds, dressers, desks, and individual closets or armoires. The suite-style bedrooms are designed with an adjoining bathroom. The rooms feature high-speed internet and each floor has a study room and fully equipped kitchen.
The basement of Bennett Hall includes a classroom, a 24-hour laundry facility and what is soon to be a fully equipped recreation room. Bennett Hall has a 24-hour security monitoring system with cameras covering the building and the parking areas. A residential director and two residential advisors to secure the building.
Dawson
Dawson Hall, the tallest building on the Lincoln University campus, houses 324 residents. Originally housing for freshman and upper-class females, the hall was designated the University’s freshmen center and coed in May, 2009. Residents assigned to the hall are classified as first-time freshmen most, not all, having just graduated from high school. The center has been renovated to include a classroom and space for tutoring. Tutoring services are available in writing, math, and miscellaneous studies such as history. The goal of this change is to enhance the first year experience and increase retention.
Each floor accommodates 36 residents with two restrooms on opposite ends of the hallway. Four (4) rooms per floor are single occupancy. The remaining 16 rooms are double occupancy. Each resident has his/her own desk, closet, standard twin bed and internet/telephone ports. Wireless internet access is also available. Room sizes are approximately:
Single: 12’7″ x 13’6″
Double: 10’4″ x 15’1″
Hall amenities include a 24 hour laundry facility, recreational and study rooms. The first floor lobby is perfect for residents and their guests to watch the big-screen television or visit with one another. The hall is staffed with a resident director, nine resident advisors, custodial services and night security.
