Guide to certified digital documents at the University of Auckland, for verification agencies.

The University of Auckland is proud to be the first New Zealand university to implement My eQuals, a secure online credentials service.

My eQuals will replace current paper documents with certified digital documents, managed through a secure and trusted source. Verifications are therefore no longer provided manually via email requests.

Many Universities around the world now provide and access digital documents, and have been party to the signing of the Groningen Declaration, a global commitment to enhance student mobility and provide credential integrity and security for digital student academic data globally.

Graduate and student records

All University of Auckland students who have graduated from 2010 onwards are automatically provided with a free certified digital transcript in My eQuals. They can send that to you securely via My eQuals.

If your applicant graduated prior to 2010 or is yet to complete their study with the University of Auckland please forward the following link as they will need to order and pay for the digital document, How to request your certified digital transcript or official letter.

If your applicant graduated prior to 1996 please ask your applicant to order their free certified digital certificate at Digital copy of certificate.

Verification of Qualifications

Can you verify the academic credentials of a student or confirm their graduation date and programme?

If your applicant graduated prior to 2010 or is yet to complete their study with the University of Auckland, please advise them to visit the Records and transcripts webpage as they will need to order and pay for the digital document.
