Kiting, frothing, boots and loops all make up the DNA of this club.
It doesn’t matter if you have never touched a kite before in your life or can S-bend to blind already.
There is a place for you at the University of Auckland Kitesurf Club.
Awesome deals on lessons, affordable rentals and a club of knowledgeable kiters. Joining is the easiest path to becoming sick kiter.
When the wind is marginal we also have a heap of social events to keep the whole club going. So get onto it and join the best club on campus!
Hire cheap gear
Once you’re all done with lessons you can hire our extremely affordable gear.
From as little as $5 a day, you can start heading out with fellow members and buddy kiting until you’re confident shredding on your own.
You’ll join our Facebook group after you sign up.
This is where you can find people to do your lessons, share a kite or get a ride to a session with.
We also have some mean social events lined up even if you don’t kite or haven’t learned yet.
Our Partnership with Blue Adventures
An independent kitesurfing school outside the club. They are affiliated with the International Kitesurfing Organisation (IKO) and are exceptional at what they do!
Being IKO registered means that the qualification you gain through them is internationally recognised in a similar way that PADI works for diving!
They offer various lessons packages and have a special course (at a discounted rate) for our members which will take you from having never touched a kite in your life, to being up and riding on the board!
The cost is $250 pp for 6 hours of lessons over two sessions.
This cost includes the use of Blue Adventures gear and wetsuits if you don’t have one!
Once Blue Adventures is satisfied with your progression you’ll be able to head out with the rest of the cub and rent our sick gear!
